Situated at only 5km away from bus stand in Kodai, Kurinji temple is great place of worship for the local people. In this temple, idol of Lord Muruga, the God of Hills, is worshipped. This magnificent temple is the marvel from where tourists can capture lots of panoramic views and spectacular scenes of Palani Hills and Vaigai dam. As per Tamil language, “KurinjiAndavar” literally means Hilly region God. The temple holds great importance in summer festival that held in May. During this festival, numerous tourists can be seen here to bow their heads in front of the Lord Muruga.
