The ancient Shakti Peeth is located very near to the old town of Kangra, 20 Km from Dharamshala. The temple is dedicated to the Shiva and Goddess Shakti. The temple has been linked to the Mahabharata period when the Goddess was worshipped to kill the demons. The hill is surrounded by thick forests giving a marvelous view of the Baner River and the Kangra valley. The temple has lots of religious importance and is a must-visit place in Dharamshala. From the top, you can have an amazing view of the Himalayas. You not only get a wonderful natural view but can also see many seasonal birds here.
