Junagarh Gate, Somnath, Gujarat - Massive gateway to the city of Somnath

Junagarh Gate is a major historical attraction of Somnath that acts as a gateway to enter the holy city. The visitors can enter the temple city of Somnath from Veraval through this gate only. There are three gates housing an ancient structure and various intricate carvings done of the walls of the gate. The Muslim invader Mohhamad Ghazni entered Somnath through this gate in order to capture the immense wealth of the temple and alter on he destroyed this gate.
