Also known as Sun Temple, Suraj temple is considered to be as old as Somnath Temple. The temple is located at the northern part of the Triveni Ghat and is dedicated to God Sun. The temple boasts of its marvelous architectural splendor and fine craftsmanship which is reflected through the beautiful sculptures and animal figurines crafted on the temple walls. You can see several wonderful images of birds and animals such as lions, elephants etc that showcase the great endeavors of the craftsmen of the ancient period.
