Golden Triangle, Thailand - Mekong river, Treasure ship, Hall of Opium

Positioned 9 km to the north of Chiang Saen is the world renowned place where the boundaries of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet up. On the right, are the Laos PDR and the triangle land, on the left is the Golden Triangle in Myanmar. You can stand at this summit where the Rauk River from Burma gushes into the Mekong. The most stunning and marvelous vista of the Golden Triangle can be seen from a small hillock where tourists can reach to the pinnacle. Accommodations are accessible for tourists who want to stay back for the night. Ferries can be rented for a short glide along the Khong River.
