Literally, the word “Annapurna” means the Goddess of food. It is well-said that if she ignores you then it is not at all possible to survive on the Earth. Annapurna temple was constructed keeping in mind the famous Meenakshi temple located in Madurai and resembles a lot to this temple. This sacred place is one of the most visited places in Indore and one could see flocks of devotees at every moment in this temple. Other than the temple of Goddess Annapurna, one can also visit the temple of Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman and Kal Bhairav temple sited in the premises of Annapurna temple.
