Sitabani is a forest area which is popular among the tourists for bird watching. It is the only region in the Corbett park where the visitors can walk inside and spot the different birds at their nearest. The place is named after Lord Rama’s wife Sita who is believed to have spent some days here during exile. An ancient Valmiki Ashram and a temple are also located inside the forest. Along with amazing variety of bird species, one can also see the glimpses of wild animals and reptiles along the river side in the forest. Elephant safaris are also arranged by the Forest Department for the visitors to explore the wilderness of the region.
