The Stupa is known as 'The Japanese for World Peace' was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organisation. To commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote World Peace, the Stupa was constructed. In the year 1985, Dalai Lama inaugurated the Shanti Stupa.  On the hilltop at Changspa in Ladakh is the Shanti Stupa located. The stupa offers a magnificent view of the sunrise and sunset and looks better at nights. The place is visited by thousands of travellers every year.  The magnificent white-domes structure stupa is a major attraction in Leh Ladakh and a must visited place here.
