The Sculpture Museum is a great place to be visited in Mahabalipuram for the archeology lovers. It houses more than 3000 sculptures of various gods and goddesses. The beautiful sculptures are monolithic statues which are carved out from rocks and showcase the reign of Gupta Empire. These sculptures are made up of wood, brass and cement. Along with the Hindu sculptures, the Buddhist sculptures are also places in the museum.
