Pallipuram Fort, Kochi, Kerala - Massive and gigantic edifice

Among the tourist places in Kochi, the name of Pallipuram Fort also needs a special attention as it is one of the chief heritages of Kerala. In Ernakulum, this Fort was built by the Portuguese in the year 1503. This hexagon-shaped fort is sited in the north nook of the Vypeen Island, Ernakulum. In 1661, the massive fort was captivated by the Dutch empire and afterwards, the fort was taken by the State of Travancore in the year 1789 by paying the amount. The fort still today is having great charm and fascination that it allures loads of people from all over the country to make a worth visit.
