This nine storied old palace is quite similar to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet and served as a residential place for the royal families of Ladakh. Though, this place is presently in ruined form but still it holds a mystical charm that attracts a number of tourists to take a visit to this monument of bygone era.
