Also known as the Riasi Fort, General Zorawar’s Fort is an ancient fort which is basically known for preserving private wealth and richness of the Dogra rulers of Jammu. Located in the Rajouri district, the fort overlooks the River Chenab and is standing above the Leh Palace. General Zorawar Singh, a renowned warrior owned this fort who struggled continuously against the Chinese rule over Ladakh. Moreover, it also houses a fine collection of ancient coins and specimens of the stamps which are issued by the state government. Indeed, it is a great historical place to be visited by the tourists in the region.
