Kusu Island is a petite piece of terrain on the maritime. The island has a breathtaking milieu, which shells out a legendary touch to the place. The name 'Kusu islet means 'Tortoise isle and as said by the myth, the isle was formed fored by an enormous tortoise which had changed itself into a hard rock to save the lives of two Malay and Chinese sailors. The isle is the best place where one can visit the Taoist temple and the Malay place of pilgrimage. The annual carnivals held at Kusu islet make this islet more colonized by tourists in contrast to other islet and bordering states of Singapore.
