Gaumukh, Gangotri, Uttarakhand - The origin point of River Ganga
Gaumukh is located at a distance of 18 km from Gangotri, there is a famous site named as Gaumukh, literally means ‘cow’s mouth’. This glacier lies at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level and is the origin point of River Ganga. The Ganges is called as Bhagirathi here.
