It is the supreme traveler’s attraction in Ahmedabad. It was founded by Mahatma Gandhiji. It has been established on the calming bank of Sabarmati River and it used to be known as the Satyagraha Ashram during the life span of Mahatma Gandhi. One can see the three apes exemplifying Gandhiji’s philosophy and many more of Gandhiji's teachings at the ashram house. It includes a crafts center, hand-crafted newspaper manufacturer, and a rotating yarn producer. Besides these, there are several other attractions for the tourists. The sound and light shows are illustrated in the ashram pointing out a clear and in-depth information on Gandhiji’s life.
