Eddakal Caves, Alleppey, Kerala - Primitive caves located in the Ambukuthi Hills
Located in the Ambukuthi Hills, the Eddakal Caves is also a worth visiting place in Alleppey. These caves were formed due to a massive split in a cliff thousands of years ago and are believed to be one of the earliest habitats of primitive man. Inside the cave, there are various pictorial wall inscriptions, stone scripts and cave drawings of humans, animals and others which give a glance of the life of earlier humans to the visitors. The tourists can reach the cave by taking a walk of half a mile along a trail.
