The fairs and festivals are an important hallmark of Ayodhya. Ramnavmi is the most important festival to be celebrated in the city which is associated with the birth anniversary of Lord Rama. Shravan Jhula Mela is another famous festival held in the month of Shravan. During the festival, the idols of Ram and Sita are taken to a swing along with hoards of devotees accompanying it. Moreover, Parikrama Fair, Bharat Kund Mela, Rathyatra, Saryu Snan and Balark Tirth Mela are some of the important fairs and festivals celebrated there.
