Though Achalgarh is a small village near Rajmachi but it holds significant place in the past history because of its ancient fort. There is famous temple of Lord Shiva in this fort famous as AchaleshwarMahadev Temple. RanaKumbha of Mewar was the man behind the formation of the Achalgarh fort during 14^th century. The main motto behind the formation of the fort was to safeguard the Achalgarh region. The Achaleshwar temple is also awesome and the local people believes that on the holy rock, there are present footprints of the God. Enormous sized Nandi, the respected cow of Lord Shiva, is also placed near the temple.
