The Jaswant Thada, Jodhpur, Rajasthan - Architectural landmark of white marble
Jaswant Thada lies at the left side of the Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. This monument was constructed by Maharaja Sardar Singh to tribute his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. This cenotaph is listed among the famous buildings with great architecture in India. This cenotaph was constructed with sheet of white marble carved beautifully. The marble used to construct this monument is really appreciable as it is very thin and shines very much during the day time. Portraits and photographs of the Maharajas and rulers of Jodhpur displayed on its walls are the main attraction for the tourists.
