Porcupine Point, Matheran, Maharashtra - Offers beautiful sight of sunset

Also known as the Sunset Point, this is a main tourist attraction famed for its beautiful sight of sunset. The point is located in Matheran Hills and gets its name from the Porcupine bird as the shape of the place resembles to that of the bird. Apart from the majestic views of sunset, the place also offers wonderful view of the Prabal Fort. A nearby attraction to the point is the Cathedral Rocks that lies to the west side of this place. The calm and serene surroundings and densely populated evergreen forests have made this place a much frequently visiting place for the tourists in Matheran.
