The cuisine in Turkey is highly influenced by the Ottoman Empire. Due to the diverse climate, one can grow almost anything on this soil. Basically, Turkish cuisine is not all that spicy and uses seafood and olive oil with almost everything. Turkish cuisine doesn’t include pork and is considered to be illegal to eat pork because of their religion. Lamb is the most commonly used and flavoured meat and is said to be too expensive. Turks also love to relish fish, beef, poultry, and rice pasta and can eat yogurt almost with everything. Eggplant is the most popular veggie which is cooked and relished in various forms.
