Shri Guru Nanak Devji Gurudwara is a popular tourist attraction as well as an important pilgrimage destination for the Sikhs in Manikaran. It is said that Guru Nanak Dev visited this place with five of his disciples after crossing the nearby areas of the Himachal. The Manikaran Gurudwara was established to celebrate his visit to the place. According to the tale, Guru Nanak Dev instructed Bhai Mardana, one of his disciples to collect flour and pulses from the inhabitants of the place to prepare food for langar. After that, Nanak ji asked him to pick up a stone from the earth and instantly a hot water spring emerged out. This hot water was then utilized to cook food for langar. People coming here take a holy dip in the sacred water of the spring which is believed to help them in getting salvation.
