Among the various temples located in Manikaran, the Ramchandra Temple is the most popular religious shrine to be visited by the tourists. The legends suggest that this temple was shifted from Ayodhya to Manikaran by Lord Rama. In the 17th century, Raja Jagat Singh constructed a temple here and installed the idol of Lord Rama. Later in 1889, Raja Dilip Singh renovated it and since then it has been a highly revered religious destination in the entire region.
