Rajpuri Caves are ancient caves in Panchgani hold a religious significance for the people as it is said that this was the spot where Lord Kartikeya performed his religious rituals and penance. The myths also suggest that the Pandavas sheltered here during their exile. The caves are surrounded by water ponds where the devotees take a holy dip to get cured from the diseases and evils. An important attraction inside the cave is the Karthikeya Temple which is made up of the sand collected from the caves. At the entrance of the cave, stone plates are places with having carved inscriptions on them. The idol of Nandi is also kept at the main entrance to the cave.
