The relics of Orkney possess some of the excellent remnants belonging to one of the aboriginal clans that existed for almost 1000 years and vanished approximately around 2000 BC. The prehistoric people of this land have built some of the amazing stone monuments that were of some importance of ritualistic or domestic aspects of their lives.  These monuments are the best known relics of Neolithic design and construction.
