Garga Dam, Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand - scenic locales, picnic spot
Located around 12 km from the main city of Bokaro; the Garga Dam is a picturesque location and a famous picnic spot for the tourists. With its lush green surroundings, the place is a habitat of various aquatic species that reside in and around the dam. It was built for use in the steel plant and also for supplying water to the citizens of the city. A popular attraction near the dam is the Siwandih which is inhabited by the natives of Bihar. Here the visitors can see two popular mosques one in Millat Nagar and the other in Azad Nagar.
