The Kakadu National park is located 171 kilometers east of the Darwin city of Australia. The season from May to September is the idyllic time to stop over at the Kakadu National Park. The significance of this park lies in the fact that UNESCO has affirmed it a world Heritage site.The park is packed with billabongs or ox – bow lakes that are full of poisonous alligators. They are either lazing around on the banks or perched in the rivers during the daytime.The Birdlife in the park is multicolored and extraordinary. The very vista of Jacana or the Jesus bird soaring from one lily pad to the other is heavenly. Several pretty cascades with their thrust pools in the park are revitalizing with their gleaming waters.
