Bargi Dam, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh - A major dam built across river Narmada

Bargi Dam is one of the major dams of the state which is one of its kinds built across the River Narmada. It is located in the Bijora Village at about 40 km from the city. It was constructed in the year 1974 and since then it is a major source of water for the entire region. Apart from a rich water source, it is also used to generate electricity. The dam is worth visiting and is opened for the tourists all round the year. One of the major attractions nearby the dam is the Temar Falls.
