Built in the 11^th century by the Gond king, Madansahi, this fort is a glorious ancient monument in Jabalpur. This 900 old fort is standing proudly on a hill top and dominates the skyline of the city. Though this ancient edifice does not showcase any kind of ornamental embellishments or craftsmanship but the sheer simplicity and the panoramic surroundings attract a lot of tourists to witness the glory of ancient era. From the top of the fort, the visitors can also experience some of the fantastic views of the low-lying vistas of the city.
