Best Season & Best time to visit Tiruchy

Trichy has a sub-tropical climate and that is why there is no major difference in temperature between summer and winter. The best time to visit the city is from October to March.

 

Summers are hot and humid with a maximum temperature of 40 degree C and a minimum temperature of 36 degree C. High humidity further add up to the temperature, occasional showers are a great relief as Tiruchirapalli lies on Deccan Plateau and thus have relatively cooler nights, thanks to the sea breeze that sets in the evening.

 

The monsoon months in Trichy are from August to late October. The average rainfall is around 120 cm.The level of humidity rises so it’s better to avoid visiting Tiruchirapalli during monsoon season. The rainy season that falls between October and December brings rain in spurts, mostly due to northeast monsoon. The average maximum temperature is 37 degree C and the minimum temperature is 32 degree C.

 

The winter season lasts from November to February with temperature varying from 20 degree C to 29 degree C, days are pleasant and nights are a little cold in Trichy during winters.
