Dating back to 1824, Mubarak Mandi Palace was one of the most ancient historic monuments in the state. One could see the monument perfectly constructed in the mix of two architectural styles – Mughal and Rajasthani style. Within the premises of the palace, the most beautiful and attractive section is Sheesh Mahal. It was the residence of royal families from the Dogra dynasty and continued till 1925. The palace is very magnificent and its location being facing to Tawi River makes it more attractive. There is a Pink Hall in this palace which houses Dogra Art Museum displaying paintings and other artifacts relevant to Dogra dynasty.
