Cauvery Nisargadhama, Madikeri, Karnataka - A cluster of small beautiful islands
It is a beautiful natural attraction as well as a popular picnic spot in Madikeri from where the sacred River Kaveri splits to form a cluster of beautiful islets. The small islands are endowed with lush green foliage, groves of bamboo, teal and sandalwood trees that cover an area of 2,58,998 sq. m. Moreover, the area houses some other must visit spots in the vicinity such as deer park, rabbit park, orchidarium, children’s park and peacock park. Boating and elephant riding facilities are also available for the visitors. To reach the island, one can take a walk-through the hanging rope bridge.
