Diu Museum, Daman and Diu - A beautiful museum housing artifacts from Portuguese period
The Diu Museum is a great place for the history lovers to take an insight into the ancient era of this lovely town. This museum was earlier served as a church and later on it got converted into a museum housing various historic artifacts and antique items associated with the history of the island of Diu. There are various stone inscriptions laid by the ancient rulers as well as magnificent wooden carvings, statues and other artifacts excavated from several ancient sites. All these antiquities placed in the museum are exhibited for the visitors and showcase the past scenario of the town during the Portuguese rule.
