Bangalpukhari is a beautiful water reservoir located near Na-ali in the city of Jorhat in Assam. An interesting tale is associated with this water tank, in 1739, a tyrant governor of the region named Badan Barphukan was killed by Rupsingh Bangal near this tank. He was later awarded with money for his bravery and he used this money to built Bangalpukhari. But the water of the tank was not used by the people as it was constructed by the money got after killing a person. However, it has been a famous tourist attraction of the place.
