Ranbir Canal, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir - Picnicking and day-excursion
Ranbir Canal is great exotic place to explore during your visit to Jammu. Located at the distance of only 2 kms from the city, the canal is 60 kms long and is spreaded over an area of 400 kms. The canal becomes more appealing because of having beautiful garden on the banks of the canal. The canal was constructed in 1905 but later on, during 1968 to 1975, it got renovated and beautified in many ways. The water of the canal is very clean and cold even in scorching summers. Therefore, the canal is too good for picnicking and day-excursion.
