Khajuraho, being located in the northern and central region of Madhya Pradesh, faces extremely hot and arid type of climate in summers but relaxing during monsoon and winters. Therefore, it is not advisable to visit the place at any time throughout the year.

 

Summers in Khajuraho are very hot and blistering. The temperature ranges form 21°C to 45°C in summers which are too hot and searing. The months from March to May of the year faces the summer season in Khajuraho. The temperature even touches more than 45 degrees which is too extreme and unbearable.

 

Monsoon season in Khajuraho is very pleasant and brings great relaxation from the hot season. This season brings heavy rainfall to the region and after that, the climate becomes more soothing and pleasant. Monsoon months in Khajuraho begin from June and continue till August.

 

Winters in Khajuraho are chilly and shivering. In winters, the temperature ranges from 4°C to 32°C and the months that faces winters in Khajuraho are from December to February. The climate becomes quite pleasant and moderate during winter season in this city.

 

The best time to visit this awesome place is between the months October to March. Also, a trip becomes more fruitful if plans to visit the city at the time of Khajuraho Dance festival that takes place from 25^th February to 2^nd March every year.
