Being enveloped with mountains, rivers and streams, Vijayawada experiences a tropical kind of climate with hot summers and cool winters. The best time to visit the city is from November to March when the climate is quite pleasant and ideal for enjoying sightseeing.

 

Summers begin from April and last till September with temperature varying from 17 degree C to 45 degree C. The region experiences scorching heat with higher levels of humidity. Thus the time is not considered good for visiting the city.

 

The climate in winter months is moderate and pleasant and temperature ranges from 10 degree C to 30 degree C. It is indeed the best time to visit the city.

 

The monsoon showers bring a little relief out of the scorching heat of the summers. It lasts from July to October with considerable amount of downpours. Though the weather becomes soothing but the erratic showers make the town sultrier.
