Pelling boasts of a pleasant and comfortable climate all round the year except monsoons. Thus, the best time to visit the town is from September to May.

 

Summers in the town extend from March to May with the maximum temperature of 28 degree C. May is the hottest season of the year. This time is usually mild and pleasant enough to enjoy the sightseeing in Pelling.

 

Winter season lasts from December to February with temperature ranging from -5 to 16 degree C. Though the temperature drops down to minus in extreme winters but it is an ideal time to enjoy the scenic locales clad with snowy mountains.

 

The monsoon months last from June to August accompanied with heavy rainfall. Thus, this time is usually avoided by the tourists to visit Pelling.
