Best Season & Best time to visit Manali

Being located in the Himalaya ranges, the climate of Manali is very cold. The high altitude location of Manali gives a favorable climate that everyone loves.  But alike other cities, Manali also has three distinctive seasons.

 

October to February is the winter season when the temperature can dip as low as -7°C and the snow line comes down and there is a snowfall in the region and heavy woolen clothes are required. The winter season is just perfect for enjoying few adventurous sports like skiing.

 

March to June is the summer season and the temperature ranges from 10°C to 25°C. Summer season is the most pleasant time to enjoy Paragliding, rafting, zorbing and mountain sports. During summers, the days are quiet pleasant but the nights are cold. So pack some light woolen clothes if you are visiting the valley during this season.

 

From July to September is the monsoon season here. Manali receives heavy rainfall, due to which landslides occur hampering the movement.  So it should be avoided visiting this hill station during the rainy season.

 

Best time to visit this mesmerizing Manali valley is between May and October. Rohtang Pass also opens up during this time.
