Mathura!! Most sacred place of Hindus being birth place of Lord Krishna! The city is highly visited by many people from all over the world to feel the magic of the “Krishna Bhoomi” as the legends of childhood of Lord Krishna are world-wide famous. Mathura is a part of Uttar Pradesh state of India and holds great significance just because of being one of the main pilgrimages of Hindus.

 

Situated at the banks of Yamuna River and about 145 kms and 58 kms away from Delhi and Agra respectively, Mathura is well-known for spectacular ghats and magnificent temples. There are innumerable temples and ghats in form of tourist places in this sacred city. The prime attractions of the city are Krishna Janmbhoomi Temple, Vishram Ghat, Kusum Sarovar, Rangbhumi, Potara Kund and many more. Mathura also offers lots of places all around for the day excursions like Daan-Ghati, Radha Kund, Nandgaon, etc.

 

Sprawling over an area of 3,800 sq kms, Mathura is one of the main Hindu pilgrimages and loads of devotees could be seen here throughout the year. The city can be easily reached through all the three modes of transport. Also, the best time to visit this land of Lord Krishna is between October and March. This time period is best to explore the pilgrim at its fullest!

 

Being the holiest city of India, Mathura can be seen flocked with innumerable devotees of the blue God i.e. Lord Krishna.Historical aspect of Mathura is also very interesting as it is full of interesting tales of Lord Krishna right from his childhood to adulthood. Therefore, the city has significant place in the main epics of Hindus – Ramayana, Mahabharata and also Bhagwata Gita.
