Shirdi is the abode of the great saint Sai Baba and the culture of this small town is wrapped up with the fragrance of the divine strength and spiritual intensity of the people that live in this sacred town. The locals of Shirdi are very generous, kind hearted and simple. People of all religions whether Hindus or Muslims live in deep harmony with each other in the town and celebrate different festivals with great joy and enthusiasm. The mostimportant festivals to be celebrated in Shirdi are Ramnavmi that is held in the month of March or April and marks the communal harmony among the people of different faiths. Besides, Gurupurnima is also a great festival to be organized in Shirdi in the month of July. Apart from it, Vijayadashmi in October is also celebrated here as a big festival and marks the day when Sai left his mortal body and went for heavenly abode.
