The Shopping Carnival, an annual sale held in March/April in Kuala Lumpur and other main cities in Malaysia is an occasion time to pick up great bargains. Kuala Lumpur, the national capital, has a number of shopping arenas. The trendiest is the Bukit Bintang area, which is bordered by Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Sultan Ismail and JalanImbi. This is the oldest shopping hub. This place has home and global goods such as clothes, fashion accessories, footwear, sports goods, electrical equipment, pharmaceutical products, computers and furniture.Other fashionable areas are JalanTuanku Abdul Rahman, JalanAmpang, JalanTun Tan Cheng Lock, Petaling Street, and Jalan H.S. Lee.
