Chikmagalur boasts of a tropical and cool climate all round the year. With plentiful of rains and lush greenery, the town is visited by the tourists throughout the year. However, the ideal time to visit the city is from September to May.

 

Summers extend from March to May with maximum temperature lying between 32 degree C and 35 degree C. The days are quite cool and pleasant that makes it ideal for the tourists to enjoy the sightseeing and other outdoor activities in Chikmagalur.

 

Winters generally begin from late December and last till February with temperature varying from 14 to 32 degree C. The days are awesome with moderately low humidity and offer a fabulous ambience to visit the town at its very best.

 

Chikmagalur receives heavy rainfall during monsoons i.e. from June to September. Abundant rainfall, gushing waterfalls and serene green landscapes add to the beauty of the place and make this hill town inviting for the tourists.
