Rajmachi, dotted with undulated hilly terrains and panoramic surroundings, is a lovely treasure trove endowed with endless natural bounties. Popularly known for its astounding scenic beauty and exotic locales, the small hill town of Rajmachi has been a much sought after weekend destination for the tourists away from the scorching heat of the down plain cities. The picturesque town of Rajmachi is located in the state of Maharashtra in India and is comprised of two famous peaks of Shrivardhanat an elevation of 3000 feet and Manaranjan at a height of 2700 feet.
Also renoened for its magnificent ancient fort, Rajmachi is situated in close proximity to the twin hill stations of Khandala and Lonavala. The Rajmachi Fort nestled amidst thick dense woods, is a famous tourist attraction in the town which is enveloped by deep valleys from the three sides and can be reached by foot only. The four ancient Buddhist caves known as Kondhavi are also located at the base of the twin peaks that showcase the artistic craftsmansip of historical times. It is also a fabulous place for the trekkers as the region is dotted with several adventurous trekking routes. The trekers can take an exciting trek path from the Tungarli Lake region to Rajmachi amidst the rocky terrains, gorging waterfalls, gushing valleys and exotic treasure of flora and fauna.
Surrounded by undulated hilly ranges and lush green locales, Rajmachi is also a popular summer retreat for the people dwelling in nearby cities. The unpolluted Ulhas River flowing across the hill region also presents a calm and soothing relaxation to the tourists. Monsoon is the best time to explore the exhilarating natural beauty of the region in its full bloom. Though presently not much explored by the visitors, Rajmachi is undoubtedly a breathtaking place to let your body and soul feel relaxed and rejuvenated!
