Puttaparthi is a spiritual place where people come from distant places to seek peace of mind and soul. Hence shopping in this small village is restricted to some of the shops in the ashram complex from where the devotees can purchase books, CDs and music cassettes associated with the life and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba.
