Bodhgaya experiences extreme hot climate during summers that last from March to May. The temperature varies from maximum 45 degree C to minimum 20 degree C. Due to scorching heat during summers, the tourists prefer to avoid a tour to the city in the months of April and May.

 

The monsoon months extend from June to August and the city experiences plenty of rainfall. Though the weather becomes humid and sultry but still the atmosphere becomes pleasant and is good for sightseeing.

 

Winters are quite pleasant with temperature varying from 28 degree C to 4 degree C. This season lasts from December to February with moderate climate. The tourists should carry warm woolen clothes with them while planning a tour to the city in winters.

 

The best time to visit Bodhgaya is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and ideal for visiting the attractions in the city. Moreover, the months from June to September are also quite good to enjoy temple visits.
