Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of Hong Kong most legendary temple, devoted to the Great Immortal Wong.When Wong Chuping was 15, he began to follow Taoism. Forty years later, he reached enlightenment and became eternal. People started to call him Wong Tai Sin from then on. It is said that he chastiseswickedness, cures the wounded, and saves the dying. Many people who stopover the temple come to have their destiny told. Generally, worshippers plead the fortune of the same year. They light incandescent sticks, kneel down before the main altar, make a wish, and shake a bamboo drum containing fortune sticks until one falls out.
