Victoria Museum, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh - An interesting museum for archeologists

Located on Bundar Road in Vijayawada, this museum is an interesting place for the archaeology lovers. It houses a fine collection of various ancient sculptures, inscriptions, statues, paintings and weapons of the ancient royal era. Moreover, it also exhibits various coins, tools and metal works of the pre historic stone age. One of the prime attractions of the museum is a mammoth size statue of Lord Buddha made up of granite and another Buddha statue made up of white limestone brought from Alluru.
