Tretaka Thakuris also dotted with mythological significance as per legends it is the place where Lord Rama performed the Ashvamedha Yajna. Later on the King of Kullu erected a temple here about 300 years ago and in 1784, it was reformed by Ahalyabai Holkar. The blackcolored idols of the deity in sandstone were later recovered from the holy River Saryu and installed in the new temple known as Kaleram ka Mandir.
