Siva Ganga Garden, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu - A beautiful garden and picnic spot
Siva Ganga Garden is a beautiful garden located inside the premises of the Vijaynagar Fort in Thanjavur. Built by Sevappa Nayak in the 16th century, the garden is adorned with variety of colorful flowers and blossoms. Moreover, different kinds of birds and small animals also dwell inside the park. There is a square tank located in the garden which was built by the Nayak rulers to provide water to the Tanjore Palace and is still known for its tasty water. Blessed with scenic landscapes, tranquil atmosphere and beautiful ambience, the garden is a popular picnic spot and a refreshing escape for the people of all ages.
